Private Dog Training Consultation and Assessment

A Consultation and Assessment is our in person way of seeing your dog and family in action. Our trainer will come to your home and spend time learning your dog, answering question, and start whatever initial foundational training they think will be most effective moving forward so you have things to work on after the session. Since the initial session can be filled with so many questions and new experiences, the consultation is 1.5 hours long. 

If the trainer feels that there is a better training opportunity for your dog, the consultation will be refunded and the session will be cut short. 

What does a session look like?

Since each family and dog training program is different, each session is tailored to your individual training program. Each hour long session will consist of reviewing the time between sessions to look at improvements or areas that need improvement, learning new skills, and working with your dog in the location that you and your trainer think is best. That could be in home, your favorite park, or even a public place like a shopping center!

What happens if I have questions after the session?

After each session, you will receive a typed sheet reviewing everything that you went over in your class, as well as the phone number for John, our head trainer. If you have any questions about anything related to your dog, you have open access to texting or calling which will get answered as soon as possible.

How many Sessions do I need?

Every client goal is different. Some dogs do great after one session and book another one after a month to learn new things or refresh some training aspects. However, some dogs are more energetic or require more attention and may require additional sessions. Additionally, dogs looking to go into therapy or sport will require more sessions due to the nature of the end goal and how much work is required to reach those goals. The consultation is also there to help make recommendations based on your dog’s personality and needs.
