The greatest... read more thing to know about training with John is that he will always make sure the pet parents and him are on the same page and that you know how to work with your dog even when he isn’t around. He also makes sure to explain WHY your dog is experiencing an unwanted behavior instead of taking the simple road and showing you how to fix it. You feel like you can understand a dogs thought process, it’s amazing talking to him and training with him is even better. When I met John I had gotten my first dog, a boxer puppy. Boxers are known for their high energy and rambunctiousness. John not only taught me how to handle him and his energy, but John helped us work as a team and taught me how to train my dog to the point he became a task trained service animal with his Canine Good Citizen title as well as the CGCA & CGCU (both difficult titles). John is the first person I would run to for any dog related questions and I’d trust him with anyone I loves dogs. There is a reason dogs get so happy to see him.

We would meet with John once a week and work on several different things. We then we practice that whole week and review it a little out next class just to make sure Wrangler is grasping it. John would always check up on how Wrangler was doing with his trading during the week. To me that shows dedication and that he truly cares. Wrangler is now almost 6 months old and i am just amazed every day with how well behaved he is and how he has grasped all the training we have been doing! We continue to practice every day with Wrangler on his trading. Our next training step will most likely be the CGC go get him certified.   Our family got our Lab/Retriever puppy, Daisy, 3 years ago. She was nothing but happiness and energy and everyone was a friend waiting to be met… whether they liked dogs... read more or not! We have a lot of people who walk in our neighborhood in the evenings. We wanted her boundary trained, so that she wouldn’t leave our front yard grass to “greet” people when she was off leash. John helped us accomplish that goal, as well as all of the basics. We trained at parks, shopping centers, and at our home (inside & out). He even brought another owner and her dog over to our house to work as a distraction! His goal for Daisy, was for her to pretty much be aloof when she saw people. (Cat demeanor, Dog love!)
